Acoustiblok Wallcover (AWC)
A very unique and surface mounted version of the Acoustiblok material, Acoustiblok Wallcover reduces sound transmissions through walls. It is approximately ¼” (6.35mm) thick and comes in a sheet that is 4’ x 8’ in size. The exposed surface is a woven silver fabric but you can finish it like drywall, in a number of textured or wallpapered finishes.
With the release of Acoustiblok Wallcover (AWC) there is finally a simple, do-it-yourself noise deadening and sound isolation solution, and it has high performance that you can apply on top of an existing wall. AWC is like installing wallpaper but there are no dirty construction processes and no special permits required from HOA’s. It can be installed in a day, but the most important aspect of AWC is the great performance, and this performance enhances any pre-existing wall assembly. We tested it in a laboratory and it was measured to give an STC53 when it was applied to a standard stud wall assembly with drywall.

NOTE: Due to the unique nature of this material and a critical manufacturing requirement, it is possible that there will be some very small superficial blemishes. Although industrial and commercial usage has not considered this a concern, consumers may consider using a little joint compound over such blemishes before applying preferred finish. This will in no way affect the soundproofing characteristic.
