AcoustiFence® & AWSP® Compressor Project

Thomas Flanagan II at Woodland Joint Unified School District in Woodland, California, contacted Acoustiblok about reducing loud compressor noise at their food service facility.

Thomas said, “Our food services warehouse is in a residential area. We recently had a large walk-in freezer built inside the warehouse and the compressors for the freezers are located on the outside of the building which was concerning the neighbors because of the noise. Fortunately, I found out about Acoustiblok’s products. I’m happy to say we successfully installed Acoustifence on the chain link fence and their All Weather Sound Panels (tested to withstand up to a 367-mph wind load) around the compressors, and the noise reduction was really remarkable! Close to the compressors when they’re running it’s about 65dBA; when you cross the street to the sidewalk it’s about 50dBA. We’ve had the units up and running for about two months and haven’t had a single noise complaint. I would like to personally thank everyone at Acoustiblok for their award-winning innovations and positive efforts to help people like us reduce the noise impact our operations have on the community.”

(So remarkable, Acoustifence material was recently awarded a US patent, and just tested at Hurricane Engineering/Test Lab to withstand up to a 200-mph wind load)
