Pool Pump System Barrier Project

This post will show how we created a pool pump system barrier to help some residents gain some peace of mind, as well as use of their patios.

Acoustiblok Inc. was contacted by a project manager at a senior living community in St. Pete, Florida, seeking help to resolve a noise issue with their pool pump system.  The noise from the pool pump system was so loud that the residents were unable to sit out on their porches and relax or read without being disturbed by the annoying low frequency humming noise.  Due to the acoustic complexity at the location, Acoustiblok utilized the ARTVIS to determine the specific noise points.

After testing, it was determined that the pump noise was reaching all four lever of the building, with sound level reading as high as 79+dBa, which is well over the 50-60dBa recommended for rest and relaxation.  After careful analysis, it was decided that an acoustic barrier, constructed with our All Weather Sound Panels would be the best solution.
