Pool Pump Enclosure Project

Pool Pump Enclosure Project – a project manager contacted Acoustiblok Inc. looking for help with some noisy pool equipment.  The pump motors generated a constant whining noise and this was making neighbors complain.

The project manager spoke with one of our noise abatement specialists and they were able to develop a solution to the problem.  The solution they came up with used our proprietary Acoustifence material to create two sound barrier screen enclosures.

We placed these enclosures around two different sets of pump motors.  We used rivet nuts and extra wide truss head screws to attach the grommeted Acoustifence.  This allowed it to be easily removed so they could access the equipment.

The barrier enclosures dramatically reduced the directional noise from the pumps.  This all but eliminated the complaints about the noise.

Per the project manager: “I was blown away by the difference after installation – on the larger enclosure, where the back is open, the machinery is very loud and in the front it is silent.  Very neat to see the material in action and it’s capabilities! ”
